This concept was a long time coming, I had this in my mind for two year. At the time, I didn't have the sheer experience and ability to do these kind of shoots, and all of a sudden, I had the urge to do this after recalling the concept while playing Diablo 3 as a Wizard.
I absolutely adore this sumptuous portrait. It shows, most elegantly, that high key portraits do not necessarily have to be a complete 'blown out white-scape". The background has been cleverly crafted from a piece of back-lit lace material, the net result of which is that sufficient diffused colour bleeds through to give a modicum of texture without distracting attention from the beautiful model. The pose is subtle and engaging. The make-up,despite it's rather wild approach, actually compliments the pretty charm of the subject - and shows quite neatly why the "rule of thirds" actually works. I hesitate to be negative about this beautiful image but it appears to me to be based on a cosplay theme, to which end the model seems to be wearing a wig. The corollary to this is a rather unpleasant shadow beneath the hair line. I think too that a tad more detail in the eyes would be helpful and if we could get rid of the harsh highlight on the lips. Finally some of the make-up adornments are blown out and it may help to bring back the dark centre. However, these are very minor details and could easily be fixed with a gentle retouch. As usual I reserve the 5 star for the 1 in a 100 Notwithstanding this is an excellent effort, very well done.
And thanks... I've been doing this type of style for awhile now... though I dont know what to do next with this kind of style... I guess pretty much improve and recreate the style.. hahaha
